Here is some information on travel options to Whirl-y-Fayre. We’ve done our best, but we are not
responsible for any errors or adventures you may have on your trip, you should check yourself and
confirm.

1) Public Transport from London

First, get yourself to Taunton or Bridgewater. There are a number of options:

a. Berries Coaches. Berrys run a service from London to Bridgewater. There is a coach at 1500hrs and
1900hrs, leaving from London – Hammersmith Bus Station. The journey is 3 hours. Prices from £21
each way or £32 for a period return. Check www.berryscoaches.co.ukfor details.

b. National Express. National Express have a service from London Victoria Coach Station to Taunton. They
run from 0700hrs, the journey length is between 4 hours 10 minutes and 5 hours 5 minutes, depending
on service selected. Prices start at £17.50 each way.

c. Train. GWR run a direct service from Paddington to Taunton. They run regularly, 1 or 2 per hour all day.
Journey time is around 1 hour 40 minutes for most services, though the 1233hrs service is just over 2
hours. Prices are rather variable. The cheapest one way is £40, but some are over £100.

2) Local Travel:

a. From Taunton. Get the Cardiff Central Train and get off at Highbridge & Burnham (2 stops). It’s then a
short walk to the George hotel where you can jump on the 21A bus. Get off the 21A at Bleak Bridge (7
stops), then it’s just a short walk down Old Pawlett Road to the site. All in, this should be less than an
hour.

b. From Bridgewater. Get the number 21 bus from the bus station next to Asda. Get off at Bleak Bridge
(14 stops), then it’s just a short walk down Old Pawlett Road to the site. All in, this should take around
20 minutes.

By Road from London, 150 miles and around 3 hours

1) Get to the M4.
2) Stay on the M4 until J20.
3) At J20 use the 3 left lanes to take the M5(S) exit to A38/Thornbury/Filton/Bristol(W)/Bristol Arpt.
4) Keep right, follow signs for M5/Bristol(W)/Airport and merge onto M5.
5) At junction 22, take the exit for the A38 to Highbridge/Burnham-on-Sea.
6) At Edithmead roundabout, take the 1 st exit onto Bristol Road/A38.
7) At the next roundabout take the 3 rd exit and stay on Bristol Road/A38.
8) Stay on the A38.
9) Continue through Huntspill and cross the River Huntspill
10) Shortly after crossing the river you will pass Quantock Caravan Services on your left, prepare to turn right.
11) A little further, on the right you will see A38 Tyres. Turn sharp right immediately after A38 Tyres onto Old Pawlett
Road, where you will find the site.

By Road from the M5
1) At junction 22, take the exit for the A38 to Highbridge/Burnham-on-Sea.
2) At Edithmead roundabout, take the 1 st exit onto Bristol Road/A38.
3) At the next roundabout take the 3 rd exit and stay on Bristol Road/A38.
4) Stay on the A38.
5) Continue through Huntspill and cross the River Huntspill
6) Shortly after crossing the river you will pass Quantock Caravan Services on your left, prepare to turn right.

Road, where you will find the site.

Arrivals and Departures.
Gates open at 2pm on Thursday
Gates closed to arrivals between 10pm-10am
Gates do not close for departure but there are no pass outs except by special arrangement.
Gates close for departures at 2pm on Monday
